There are many things out there that we can use in our classrooms. This can range from using socrative to youtube. I want to use an easy and simple way to get my students active in class: creating and using a classroom website. I think it is great to use in order to post welcome letters, newsletters, "what you missed in class today" announcements, some creative assignments, and such for the students and parents to use. I created a simple blog for my students to use in the future.

I was able to create an individual classroom blog with a few things that I mentioned earlier. I was even able to make it easier for people to navigate through. I am able to keep track and view if anyone (student or parent) has viewed the class website. I think it is a great way to use for communication and have students have fun/do their creative homework through technology.

However, before my students can have access to this website, I will have the students think of a title for their class. Doing this will help them identify themselves from other classes that I may have. I also want them to have private access to this for school policy reasons. In order to achieve this, I need to have permission from both the parents and the administration. However, I think it is a cool, fun, and great idea to use!
