Annnnnddddd for the final posting on my professional book reading, I must say that the last two units/chapters of my book was very interesting. After learning about the three traits needed to be an effective teacher. The book was interesting professional book to read. Luckily, I read this book during December.
Golden Lines
"If the student cannot demonstrate learning or achievement, the student has not failed - WE have failed the student." (p. 197)
"Objectives state what you wan the students to accomplish. The students must know before the lesson, assignment, or activity begins what they are responsible for learning." (p. 221)
"The professional teacher recognizes that the classroom is a complex environment; the most successful teacher is the one who is capable of making decisions and solving problems in that environment." (p. 274)
Strategies
There are four kinds of time a school that teachers should use: allocated time, instructional time, engaged time, and academic learning time. As teachers, we must be careful of the time we have to teach our students. We spend 100% time in allocated time, 90% instructional time, 75% engaged time, and 35% academic learning time.
Questions
I have none to to ask about right now! :D (It'll come eventually one day).
